Sadhbh Byrne Ryan (she/her)

Alumni Engagement Manager

Sadhbh is the Alumni Engagement Manager at Emma’s Torch, working to ensure that Emma’s Torch graduates gain sustainable employment in the hospitality industry and to build partnerships with those in the industry in New York City.

From Dublin, Ireland, Sadhbh has extensive hospitality experience, having worked as a server in her uncle’s bar and restaurant and as a barista in specialty coffee shops and bakeries. These experiences helped her to build confidence and have also been a source of lasting friendships. She hopes Emma's Torch graduates will enjoy similar benefits. In addition, Sadhbh has worked with refugees and asylum seekers in college as a volunteer ESL teacher and as a housing caseworker with the Irish Refugee Council. 

Sadhbh has a Graduate Diploma in Refugee Integration from Dublin City University. Away from work, Sadhbh spends her time at the cinema, going to gigs and searching for the city’s best coffee.
