We cherish our relationships with businesses. Each one adds something new and important to our organization. We are delighted that you are interested in partnering. There are lots of ways for you to get involved.

Volunteering

We are thrilled to have volunteers participate in different initiatives. Below are three examples of volunteer opportunities. If you have a different volunteering idea, we are always eager to find additional ways to integrate more interested individuals into our work.

  1. Education and Financial Literacy: We love it when volunteers are excited to bring their expertise into our classroom. From leading a curricular ESL class to developing a new lesson on financial literacy, teaching is a great way for smaller groups of volunteers or individuals to work directly with our students.

  2. Mock Interviews: Before our students begin their formal interview process, we host internal mock interviews. This helps our students work through their jitters and provides them with vital feedback without the pressure of a job offer. This opportunity is ideal for a smaller group of volunteers or individuals.

  3. Specific one-off projects throughout the year: These large projects are ideal for larger groups who would like a single volunteer experience. The specific project varies based on our needs but we are happy to work with you to find the right fit.

If you are interested in volunteering opportunities, please email info@emmastorch.org with your location (DC area or NYC) and what you or your group hopes to assist with.

One of the businesses within our social enterprise is our catering program, which serves as a great way for organizations, individuals, and companies alike to support our mission while enjoying an incredible meal. We have catered everything from work lunches and dinners to black-tie, gala events. Our team is equipped to work with you and meet your needs in every way.

Emma’s Torch was extremely helpful and professional in planning and executing our wedding menu and beverage service. They hosted us for a really lovely tasting and offered a great selection of dishes. The food itself was excellent. The staff the day of were all top-notch.
