Richard Fields
Board Member
Richard Fields is a Managing Director of Allen & Company LLC, where he is active in mergers and acquisitions, principal investments, and private and public financings. Prior to joining Allen in 1986, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Delma Studios, Inc. Richard is a board member of Orion Labs and has previously served on the boards of the Telecommunications Development Fund, Selectable Media, and Omnipoint Corporation as well as its successor, VoiceStream Wireless Corporation, prior to its sale. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (Arjay Miller Scholar), and a B.S. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Richard founded and leads the Refugee Employment Task Force, which helps recently arrived refugees and asylees find suitable employment opportunities in the New York area. He previously helped organize and lead Project Sandy Far Rockaway, one of the largest and longest-running relief efforts in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy. He is also a director of the Rachael Ray Foundation, which provides funding for animal welfare and children's nutrition, and is a former trustee of the Ethical Culture Fieldston School.
