Ilya Finkler

Managing Director

Ilya Finkler is a Managing Director and a Head of Institutional Risk for Global Atlantic. He is responsible for the assessment and management of risks arising form both the potential and existing Reinsurance transactions.

Mr. Finkler holds a PhD in Physics from Harvard University and BS in Mathematics and Physics from Ohio State University. He was a National Science Foundation Fellow at the former and a Goldwater fellow at the latter.

Ilya’s family moved to the US as refugees from Uzbekistan in 1994, making the mission of Emma’s Torch particularly close to his heart. He resides in Brooklyn with his wife, two kids, and three cats.
