Program Manager

Emma is the program manager for the Inwood location of Emma's Torch. She manages the student experience at this catering-focused location in upper Manhattan.

As the first full-time Emma to join the Torch, Emma has big Lazarus-sized shoes to fill. She has combined her passion for education and immigrant integration with her deep admiration for food and all the profound connections it can create. Prior to joining Emma's Torch, Emma spent a year teaching English at a University in Boyacá, Colombia. She has also worked in the immigration non-profit world both in legal service provision for immigrants at risk of deportation in Washington, D.C. and at a refugee community center on the Greek island of Chios. In her free time Emma ranks best bagel spots in New York and scopes out new music venues. She dreams of one day adopting a dog and returning to playing Rugby in order to go to the Olympics.
