Kismet led Ashley to Emma's Torch in a position combining her three great loves: teaching, working with refugees, and food. Ashley studied international management and marketing in college, but quickly found herself focusing more on tutoring after class, cooking for friends and professors over the weekends, and working with refugees in France and Malta during school breaks.
Later, she decided to pursue a culinary education, and obtained her master’s in culinary arts management from the Culinary Arts Academy in Switzerland. Her training experience includes working in alpine resorts, baking all sorts of buttermilk biscuits in North Carolina, and managing a Manhattan Thai restaurant.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys long aimless walks, trying out new pizza spots, and spending time with her (or any, really) cats.
