Our First DMV Home

After nearly eight years as a Brooklyn-based mission-driven hospitality brand, Emma’s Torch opened our first outpost outside of NYC in 2024, nestled in the Washington, D.C., neighborhoods of Woodridge & Brookland. As we grew, we found that we needed more space to meet the needs of our students and customers, so we made the difficult decision to close our café and start construction on a new space in Silver Spring, MD, in late 2025. We are grateful to everyone who made our first location in the DMV feel like a home.

The cafe is a hub of the local community and an integral part of our culinary educational program.
