Where is the new Emma’s Torch location?
Our new café and culinary training center will be located at 1200 East-West Highway, Silver Spring, MD. The site is a short walk from the Silver Spring station on the Red Line.

When is the new location opening?
We look forward to the grand opening of our Montgomery County (MoCo) location in 2026. Follow us on social media or check this page for specific dates as they become available.

Will you have the same menu?
Yes – and more! Our MoCo café will feature all of your favorites from our former Rhode Island Avenue location with some additional seasonal menu items.

When will catering become available again?
Our catering services will be available in mid-2026. Follow us on social media or check this page for more details as they become available.

Will you continue to focus on D.C. students once MoCo opens?
Yes, our program will continue to admit students from throughout the DMV area. If you are interested in joining upcoming cohorts as a student, please fill out this form! 

When will the application for new DMV-area students open?

How can I support the new location?
There are lots of ways to get involved during our transition! You can join and share our capital campaign, “The Kitchen We Build Together,” which is raising $2.2 million for our new DMV home.
