Winner: Princeton Entrepreneurs’ Network Startup Competition
On June 2, 2017, Emma’s Torch won the Princeton Entrepreneurs’ Network Startup Competition, rising above 23 other startups to claim the $10,000 prize.
Each year, the Princeton Entrepreneurs’ Network hosts a startup competition during Princeton’s Reunions weekend. Entrepreneurs showcase their startups to alumni, who vote on their favorites. The top three startups by popular vote are invited to pitch to a panel of judges.
The Emma’s Torch team was thrilled to make it to the pitching round, where Kerry spoke about the organization’s impact to venture capitalists and advisors including Jim Cohen of Fitz Gate Ventures and Pierre DuPont of HPM Partners.
And of course, we were delighted to be named the winner of the competition.
The cherry on top of the sundae was meeting Jeff Bezos (Princeton Class of ‘86) and telling him about Emma’s Torch.
