INSTITUTE OF CULINARY EDUCATION
James Briscione, the first two-time champion of Food Network’s Chopped, became the Director of Culinary Development at the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in 2012. From 2012 to 2014, James worked with IBM and the “Chef Watson” team to help them understand how flavor compounds and ingredients translate from a database to the real-world kitchen; James continues that work today via his upcoming and fourth cookbook, Finding Flavor (Haughton Mifflin Harcourt). Since 2008, James has operated Just Married & Cooking, LLC with his wife Brooke Parkhurst. Their company creates one-of-a-kind custom dining and educational experiences. You can currently follow the culinary adventures of James and his daughter Parker in the new series on Food Network digital, Cooking with Dad. The food and ideas that James creates have been featured in the New York Times, The New Yorker, NBC, BBC, Fox News, NPR, Time and hundreds of outlets around the globe. He is a contributor to Food52 and regularly appears on Today Show, Fox News and Dr. Oz.
